Participation in any Sporting Champs session requires you to share both you and your child’s personal information with Sporting Champs, including names, addresses, emails, medical data, payment and banking data. Below is a brief description of how Sporting Champs will use your information:
All information will be accurate and up to date and stored securely either on IT systems or in lockable storage.
Sporting Champs will use personal information collected for the purpose of proactive communication and conducting of the session your child applied for.
Parents/guardians can ask to see the records relating to their child, but will not have access to information about other children.
Information given by parents/guardians to Sporting Champs will not be passed on to third parties without permission unless there is a Safeguarding issue
Concerns or evidence relating to a child's safety will be kept confidential and not shared among colleagues, except where required with DSL's.
Issues relating to the employment of colleagues, whether paid or voluntary, will remain confidential to those making personnel decisions
Sharing information with outside agencies
Sporting Champs will only share information with outside agencies on a need-to-know basis and with the consent of parents/guardians, except in cases relating to safeguarding children or criminal activity. If Sporting Champs shares information without parental consent this will be clearly logged stating the reasons why.
Sporting Champs will only share relevant information that is accurate and up to date. Sporting Champs primary commitment is to the safety and well-being of the children in our care.
Data Protection Act
Sporting champs comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 (updated 2018) and GDPR regarding obtaining, storing and using personal data.
